The perfect opportunity to come along and try out playing a string instrument! Young players can then move on to Rhythm ‘n Bows (see below) when they’re ready.

Beginner Strings – Rhythm ‘N’ Bows

Confidence is built from the start with rhythm games, movement and innovative string teaching.

• Our very youngest violinists have a chance to develop their technique and musicality in a relaxed but stimulating setting.
• Players learn basic rhythms, open strings and finger-work to a fun and challenging repertoire.

Junior Strings – Funky Strings

Introducing playing in parts and concepts of ensemble work to our young players.

Pre Grade 1 to Grade 3
Saturdays 10.15am – 11.45am

• Players gain much experience through a wide range of fun repertoire, learning about dynamics, technique and general performance as an ensemble.

Chamber Strings

Tutor: John Parsons
Grades 3 to 8
Saturdays 10.15am – 12.00pm

• Playing in four or more parts.
• Progressing to advanced performance through developing techniques.
• Recent performances include Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’.
