I trained at the University of Derby as a Primary Teacher with a specialism in music, having been involved in music from a young age. I’m predominantly a pianist and flautist but have also been involved in a number of choirs and play weekly at my church.

I’m currently the headteacher of a local primary school, and fill my ‘spare time’ teaching piano, accompanying the Music Centre Choir on a Tuesday evening and leading Young Music Makers and the Beginners Recorders on a Saturday morning.

I started helping at Music Centre when my own children joined and somehow ended up leading my own groups!

I am passionate about the part music plays in the education and development of young children.
